General Information St. Gregory the Great Catholic Preschool is a component of the St. Gregory the Great Parish and Catholic Elementary School. As a Catholic preschool, children will be nurtured and cared for as children of God, and will learn about God's love under the nurturing guidance of qualified teachers and aides who are models of the Catholic faith. The preschool is governed by the elementary school’s general guidelines follows the calendar of the elementary school. Admission to the preschool requires that a child be two, three or four years old (depending on the class) by September 1, and is contingent upon the child being “potty trained” for three years and older.

 

Programs St. Gregory the Great Catholic Preschool offers a two-year-old program, three-year-old / four-year-old program, and prek program. The two-year-old program is the early stages of preschool focusing on school routine, building independence while working through the different developmental areas in a loving and nurturing atmosphere.  The three-year-old / four-year-old program focuses on building letter recognition skills that lay the foundation for reading by building phonemic awareness, while learning letters of the alphabet. Number sense is explored through use on a variety of manipulatives and exploration activities. Free and structured play is integral to the program, allowing children to explore and develop their sense of curiosity. The program also develops social and emotional skills in a safe, encouraging, and loving environment. The prek program continue to build and expand upon literacy and mathematical concepts. Through interactive learning, all our preschoolers have the opportunity to expand religion, language arts, math, science, problem solving and communication skills. Interpersonal skills are developed through structured play that promotes sharing and collaborative problem solving.

 

Program Hours St. Gregory the Great Catholic Preschool is open between the hours of 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM. Families have the option of two-, three-, or five-day enrollment, along with either half- or full-day attendance. Tuition for the various program options is detailed on the Tuition Agreement document. St. Gregory the Great Catholic Preschool is licensed through the state of California. As such, it is a stand-alone entity. Registration fees are paid directly to FACTS. (see the Extended Care for additional coverage)

 

Tuition is paid through FACTS Tuition Management.

 

Snack and Lunch Children provide their own snack (to limit the spread of germs) and children attending the full day program will bring their own lunch. Nutritious and healthy foods are highly encouraged.  The preschool also has a nutritional snack available for preschoolers.
