Catholic Identity

Our school community celebrates liturgy at our parish church twice a month. Since the church is four miles from our campus bus transportation is used to return our students to school after Mass. Students are involved in liturgy preparation, and actively participate at mass as readers, gift bearers, praying through song, and offering responses during liturgy. Second grade students and their families undergo sacramental preparation, and celebrate the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

Our philosophy is integral to the instructional program, making our Catholic identity a tangible presence throughout the school environment. We embrace the diversity of learning styles among our students and differentiate instructional strategies to meet their individual needs. Christ is the reason for our school, and we strive daily to walk with Jesus and model our lives on his.

Each day begins with outdoor community prayer, prayers for special intentions, reflection on the Catholic virtue of the week, reflection on special feast days and seasons in the liturgical year, salute to the flag and patriotic song. We believe that by praying together, daily, as a community of faith, that we welcome Jesus in our midst, and set a tone of discipleship, love, and mutual respect.

Stewardship and service are integral to our Catholicity. Students organize, plan and participate in a wide variety of local and global service opportunities.
